Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
Raaha ("we", "us") is an Islamic habit-tracking app for prayer, dhikr, duʿāʾ, fasting, and daily reflection. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's protected.
What we collect
- Account and profile info: your sign-in identifier or email address is used to sign you in. Your display name personalizes the app, and your selected gender is used for gendered duʿāʾ wording.
- Location: your chosen location is saved to your account so your prayer-time and Qibla settings follow you to a new device. You can choose it manually instead of granting device-location access. We keep your current choice, not a history of your movements. Location services process place searches and coordinates to find place names.
- Prayer times: the app uses official prayer times where supported and calculates times on your device elsewhere or when official times are unavailable. Requests for official times include the prayer-time area and dates. Qibla direction is calculated on your device.
- Worship activity: prayer logs, dhikr counts, fasting records and mood check-ins you choose to record. Check-ins include your selected mood, date and a reference to the āyah or reflection shown to you. These records are stored and synced so the app can show your history and progress back to you.
- Subscription information: your subscription status and account-linked purchase records are processed by our subscription service and your app store to unlock Raaha+ and handle subscription updates.
- Support requests: the reply address and message you submit are used to respond to your request. Our form uses spam protection, which processes verification information about your browser.
What we don't collect
- We do not collect your date of birth or contacts.
- We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
How your data is protected
Your practice data is stored on your device and synced to your account so it can be restored on another device. Access controls keep your account records separate from other users. Authorized services process data needed to operate the app, including sign-in, storage, subscriptions, email delivery and location lookup. Sign-in credentials are kept in your device's secure storage.
Data retention
Completed account deletion removes your account, practice records and uploaded files, and clears account data from the app. Limited billing and sign-in audit records are minimized; billing records are unlinked from your account. These audit records expire 90 days after their original receipt or creation and are removed by daily cleanup. Remaining audit identifiers may still be correlatable.
Service-provider logs, backups and purchase history, device backups and copies shared elsewhere may remain. Providers retain these under their own policies. Deleting an account does not cancel a subscription; cancellation is managed separately through your app store.
